ITMAX Secures RM120 Mln Smart Street Lighting Contract From DBKL
KUALA LUMPUR, July 31 (Bernama) -- ITMAX System Bhd has secures a RM120 million contract from Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) for the supply, installation and maintenance of smart street light systems across Kuala Lumpur.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the artificial intelligence-powered integrated digital infrastructure service provider said it had on July 30, 2026 accepted the letter of acceptance dated July 28, 2026 awarded by DBKL for the contract.
It said the contract is expected to contribute positively towards the earnings and net assets per share of the company over the period until the expiry of the contract period.
Meanwhile, in a separate statement, ITMAX System said the contract carries a tenure of six years, commencing from Aug 1, 2026 to July 31, 2032.
ITMAX System managing director/chief executive officer William Tan Wei Lun said the contract recognised the company’s locally designed and developed Malaysian smart street lighting system, demonstrating that home-grown innovation can deliver world-class smart city solutions.
“Our intelligent street lighting platform incorporates features such as adaptive dimming, centralised monitoring and real-time fault detection to improve energy efficiency, operational reliability and public safety.
“We remain committed to developing artificial intelligence-powered technologies that support Malaysia’s digital transformation and build smarter, safer and more sustainable cities,” he said.
