LYB CEO Peter Vanacker To Receive CME STEM Leadership Award

KUALA LUMPUR, July 29 (Bernama) -- LyondellBasell (LYB) and Chemical Marketing & Economics Inc (CME) announced that LYB Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Peter Vanacker will receive the CME STEM Leadership Award for Corporate Reinvention on Dec 11 in New York City.

In a statement, LYB said Vanacker will be honoured alongside Omar Yaghi, recipient of the award for Extraordinary Fundamental Research, and Ann Ziff, who will receive the Lifetime Achievement award.

According to CME, Vanacker is being recognised for leading LYB through a period of transformation focused on value enhancement, portfolio optimisation and the expansion of circular solutions.

Vanacker said corporate reinvention is about building a company capable of creating value through change, adding that LYB continues to strengthen its portfolio, advance circular and low-carbon solutions, and develop the STEM talent needed to support the industry's future.
