Menara Merdeka 118 Officially Renamed Menara Merdeka Maybank
KUALA LUMPUR, July 28 (Bernama) -- Menara Merdeka 118 has been officially renamed Menara Merdeka Maybank, reflecting Malayan Banking Bhd’s (Maybank) presence at the landmark building, which serves as its headquarters.
In a statement today, the bank said the new registered address of Maybank’s headquarters will be Level 70, Menara Merdeka Maybank, Presint Merdeka 118, 50118 Kuala Lumpur.
“In conjunction with this announcement, Maybank’s former headquarters at Jalan Tun Perak, previously known as Menara Maybank, will be renamed Menara Tun Perak. Both building names will take effect from July 28, 2026,” it said.
Maybank said its Kuala Lumpur Main Branch will continue to operate from Menara Tun Perak until further notice.
It noted that there would be no impact on customers who maintain accounts at the branch, and all banking services will continue as usual.
