KLCI Futures Close Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, July 22 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower on Wednesday in line with the cash market. 

The July 2026 and September 2026 contracts fell by 3.5 points to 1,717.0 and 1,696.5, respectively.

The August 2026 and December 2026 contracts lost 2.5 points to 1,718.0 and 1,700.5, respectively.

Turnover declined to 5,802 lots compared with 7,839 on Tuesday, while open interest edged down to 45,095 contracts from 47,989 previously. 

At 5 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) fell nine points, or 0.52  per cent, to 1,711.37 from Tuesday’s close of 1,720.37.
