Qumis Unveils AI Agents For Insurance Coverage Analysis

KUALA LUMPUR, July 22 (Bernama) -- Qumis has launched its certified artificial intelligence (AI) agents, a team of line-of-business specialists that work together to analyse entire insurance programmes and deliver citation-backed coverage analysis in minutes.

In a statement, Qumis said the platform enables insurance professionals to ask a question or upload a complete insurance programme, including thousands of pages of policies, endorsements and carrier forms.

Its insurance-native orchestrator assembles a "bench" of specialist agents spanning 16 lines of coverage at launch, from cyber and directors' and officers' (D&O) liability to marine and workers' compensation. Each specialist analyses its own line in parallel before the platform synthesises the findings into a single, citation-backed deliverable.

Every specialist is built on a documented, line-specific coverage framework, reviewed and approved by Qumis’ coverage counsel and validated against representative coverage scenarios before deployment.

The company said every conclusion is linked to the underlying policy language, while the system highlights uncertainty when evidence is incomplete instead of generating unsupported conclusions.

Beyond coverage analysis, Qumis' specialists also produce deliverables such as branded proposals, coverage checklists, Excel workbooks and interactive dashboards that can be published as hosted microsites, replacing static PDF proposals traditionally used by the industry.

Each engagement runs on Qumis Private Compute, a dedicated and secure virtual computer isolated from every other customer's environment and powered by the company's proprietary agentic infrastructure.

Headquartered in Chicago, Qumis is a coverage intelligence platform for commercial property and casualty insurance trusted by five of the 15 largest United States insurance brokers, leading speciality carriers and top law firms.
