Enigmatig Invests In Singapore-Canada Film Co-Production

KUALA LUMPUR, July 22 (Bernama) -- Enigmatig Limited (Enigmatig), a Singapore-headquartered global business enabler, has invested in KUNGFULAND, the first scripted feature-length Singapore-Canada Treaty action-comedy co-production to use virtual production.

The film is produced by Singapore-based Ajacent Media and Canada's 100 Dragons, with support from the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore. Principal photography began on June 10 at AUX Infinite Studios in Singapore.

Enigmatig Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Desmond Foo said KUNGFULAND embodies the company's mission of helping ambitious ideas find their way across borders.

“We are proud to support this production and play a small part in helping local creative talent and storytelling reach broader audiences. As a Singapore-headquartered company, it is meaningful to back initiatives like this,” said Foo in a statement.

Set in Chinatown in 1999, the film pays homage to the golden era of 1970s martial arts cinema. It is shot using cutting-edge LED wall technology combined with Shaw Brothers-inspired practical sets and stars Idrissa Sanogo Bamba, Ellen Wong, Dion Johnstone and Hugh Tran, with a cameo by legendary Hong Kong actor David Chiang.

Enigmatig said the investment goes beyond the film industry, reflecting its belief that ambition deserves support wherever it comes from and that Singapore has stories worth telling on the global stage.
