Momentum Technologies Unveils LIFEPODS Survival Capsules

KUALA LUMPUR, July 7 (Bernama) -- Momentum Technologies, a French deeptech company, has presented its LIFEPODS capsules at the 2026 editions of VivaTech and Eurosatory to address emerging security, climate and industrial challenges.

The capsules provide an immediate refuge when conventional infrastructure becomes inoperative or inadequate, according to a statement.

The LIFEPODS B-01 is a multi-hazard land capsule designed to protect against ballistic threats, explosions, fires and major critical events, while the LIFEPODS W-01, unveiled for the first time at VivaTech 2026, is a floating capsule designed for flooding, marine submersion, tsunami and climate-related disasters.

The LIFEPODS architecture features a proprietary multi-layered design capable of absorbing multiple physical impacts within a compact structure.

The capsules notably rely on high-strength technical steels, specific thermal-insulation materials, on-board ventilation and survival systems, and a design optimised for mass, mobility and mechanical strength.

Unlike traditional protection infrastructure, the LIFEPODS capsules have been engineered to be mobile, transportable, industrialisable, rapidly deployable and adaptable to operational contexts.

Momentum Technologies combines French engineering, advanced European digital modelling and specialised industrialisation to develop survival capsules as technology platforms for resilience.

Targeting the defence, civil security, close-protection, critical infrastructure and industrial sectors, the B-01 capsule has entered its industrialisation phase following successful ballistic panel tests.

Meanwhile, the W-01 floating capsule uses a passive hydrodynamic design intended to protect occupants during floods, tsunamis and other major climate-related disasters.

To support industrialisation and international expansion, Momentum Technologies has completed several initial financing rounds and is preparing to launch a Seed-Series A funding round between late 2026 and early 2027.
