Co-opbank Pertama Distributes RM104.8 Mln Dividends To Members

KUALA LUMPUR, July 2 (Bernama) -- Co-opbank Pertama (CBP) has announced a dividend rate of 6.5 per cent for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2025, with payment credited to eligible members’ accounts starting today. 

CBP chief executive officer Khairil Anuar Mohammad Anuar said the dividend rate was net of zakat deductions, involving a total distribution of RM104.79 million, benefiting more than 92,000 eligible members.

“For the financial year 2025, CBP recorded a stronger performance with a profit of RM131.15 million, representing an increase of 3.1 per cent compared to the previous year.

“For 2026, CBP is targeting a profit of RM141 million and remains optimistic of achieving this target through the marketing initiatives that have been strategically planned,” he said in a statement.

He said the bank would strengthen its financial position in 2026 by issuing a structured covered sukuk in June 2026.

The sukuk issuance, via its subsidiary, Himayah Sukuk Bhd, would further strengthen CBP’s brand presence in the country’s sukuk market, said Khairil Anuar, adding that the sukuk issuance was reinforced by the “A3” and “P2” ratings with a “stable” outlook assigned by RAM Ratings.
