KLCI Futures Close Slightly Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, June 19 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed slightly lower today in contrast with the cash market.

The June 2026 and September 2026 contracts fell two points to 1,716.0 and 1,697.0 respectively, while July 2026 and December 2026 slid three points to 1,717.0 and 1,697.0 respectively.

Turnover decreased to 7,077 lots from 9,063 lots on Thursday, while open interest widened to 37,764 contracts from 37,416 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI rose by 0.64 of a point, or 0.03 per cent, to close at an intraday high of 1,712.03 from Thursday's close of 1,711.39.
