KLCI Futures Close Higher In Line With Cash Market

KUALA LUMPUR, June 16 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher today, tracking the positive performance of the underlying cash market.

The June 2026 contract rose 22 points to 1,721.5, while July 2026 and December 2026 added 21.5 points to 1,722.5 and 1,702.5, respectively. The September 2026 contract increased 21 points to 1,702.0.

Turnover improved to 9,367 lots from 6,696 lots on Monday, while open interest climbed to 35,775 contracts from 32,392 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) rose by 18.60 points, or 1.10 per cent, to 1,709.99 from yesterday's close of 1,691.39.
