KLCI Futures Close Higher, In Line With Cash Market Gains

KUALA LUMPUR, June 5 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher today, reflecting the performance of the underlying cash market.

The June 2026 and September 2026 contracts were 5.5 points higher at 1,688.5 and 1,671.0, respectively, while July 2026 and December 2026 jumped 6.5 points each to 1,691.0 and 1,673.0, respectively.

Turnover declined to 8,472 lots from 11,867 lots on Thursday, while open interest contracted to 35,257 contracts from 40,544 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI regained 10.17 points to 1,693.43 from Thursday’s close of 1,683.26.
