KLCI Futures Close Lower In Line With Cash Market

KUALA LUMPUR, June 3 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today in line with the underlying cash market’s performance.

The June 2026 and December 2026 contracts slid 17.5 points each to 1,662.5 and 1,647.0, respectively, while the September 2026 contract fell 18.5 points to 1,643.5. New month July 2026 stood at 1,664.0.

Turnover declined to 17,811 lots from 18,199 lots on Friday, while open interest shrank to 47,378 contracts from 53,784 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI fell 10.33 points to 1,672.74 compared with Friday’s close of 1,683.07.

Bursa Malaysia and its subsidiaries were closed on Monday and Tuesday in conjunction with the birthday of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the replacement holiday for Wesak Day, respectively.
