KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 3 (Bernama) -- The Kuala Lumpur rubber market ended lower on Monday, tracking weaker regional rubber futures amid a sharp decline in crude oil prices and expectations of higher global natural rubber production, a dealer said.

Bursa Malaysia Stays Lower At Mid-Afternoon

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 3 (Bernama) -- Bursa Malaysia remained lower at mid-afternoon, weighed down by mild selling in selected heavyweights, said an analyst.

At 3.01 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) eased 2.73 points to 1,722.17 from last Friday’s close of 1,724.90.

The benchmark index opened 0.36 of a point higher at 1,725.26.

Bursa Malaysia Lower At Midday Due To Profit-Taking

At 11.01 am, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) was 0.94 point lower to 1,723.96 from last Friday’s close of 1,724.90.

The benchmark index opened 0.36 point higher at 1,725.26.
